There is no PvP/CvC (player vs player/Character vs Character) allowed on the Annakolia server without the mutual, prearranged consent of both parties and preferably with a DM present. There is one exception -- The Tharbad Arena -- you step in there and you consent automatically. Any other place in the world it is forbidden.

PvP includes pick pocketing and casting spells of impairment on people. The use of darkness is not damaging and is an area effect spell -- this will not count as PvP.

The mechanics of the game are such that switching to dislike makes one hostile -- this is unnecessary. One can emote dislike In Character without switching factions to dislike. The act of doing so -- switching to dislike -- is a hostile act and familiars, summons, and animal companions will attack. This will not be tolerated.

Offenders will be given an official warning if another offence occurs, the offender will be banned.

It is also advisable not to kill NPCs or break things one PC half-orc is spending a life sentence in prison for breaking doors and murder. There are consequences for your actions, the authorities do frown on mayhem in town.

A couple points of clarification:
    1. Any CvC should have a plausible In Character reason.

    2. Prearranged consent is best made through OOC Tells. This helps to avoid confusion on any players part as to the nature of an action. If a character is bothering you, let them know by sending them an OOC Tell. Many disaggreements can be avoided through better communication.

    3. If you have been the victim of an act of unwanted PvP or griefing, save your log and contact Barry or myself via PM.

    4. If you feel that you have been falsely accused of PvP or griefing, save your log and contact either of us via PM.
Information on roleplaying, server rules, etiquette, pick pocketing (PP) and looting can be found at the following thread: Server Rules and Etiquette It is our goal for players and DMs to have fun. While we make efforts to be fair, we are only two people and cannot be on the server every hour of every day. Our DMs and PAs are available to players as resource for help, too.

What are the consequences in the case someone is slain in the course of a challenge?

If no second is there to raise one who dies -- no other sympathetic character, then the person respawns and takes a death penalty.

There is no other consequence -- period.
