Thanks to Olias, the guards are now ok with babies, parasols, fans, fishing rods, musical instruments, and crystal balls. A few items might have been missed.

Apparently, the guards don't like nerdy bookworms, as Olias put it. The new CEP 1.5 holdable book elicits a negative reaction from them. The guards will be going through some training tonight to fix that. Wink

Barry and Olias also fixed some faction problems with the guards, the dragon slayers and commoners.

Whats with the guards in Fingar? They just asked me some inane question and then proceeded to try to hack me down, chased me for 2 areas and cuaght and killed me in a transition. They were pretty uber-strong to cut down my 13th lvl char like a stalk of corn.

I'm all for the "heads up" mentality of the module where the next door or area could be certain death, but this was ridiculous IMHO. I mean Im just strolling around the towns that used to be OK to wander around, there is no warning or anything that I saw, and no escape once they saw me.

Was looking forward to a good game in Annakolia only to have it cut abruptly by a such a senseless and unavoidable smiting Crying or Very sad

Fingar has always been like that versus elves. It has been that way since RoA went 'public'. As far as i know, there has been no changes at all so Fingar has NEVER been 'ok to wander round' for an elf.

If you are an elf, I strongly suggest not going to Fingar unless you wish to die. Wearing a hood to hide the ears will fool them however, they are rather stupid. (They are after all Humans and Guards at that) *smirk* Wink

A touch of 'realism' in Fingar is not 'uncalled for' ... indeed it matches the manner of the Lathine Forest to (most) all who pass her borders.

But 'escape' from the guards ought to be 'possible' at least (particularly once beyond the 'County Line' of Fingar) don't you think?

Escape IS possible. *points to Barrys 'hood' suggestion*

That's 'evasion' - not escape! Razz

Oddly, wings works to throw them to.
An elf - evil-evil-bad ATTACK!!
A pair of elven half dragons? No problem! Come on in!
*tilts head quizically*

Escape is very possible, seeing the guards offer you the options of bribing, bluffing or persuading your way out aswell. Or at least they used to do that.

The operative word is that they sometimes give you those options. Wink

That can soon be fixed if you really want. You know what they say.... "Be careful what you wish for". Wink
